Meet Darth Vader, Chewbacca, R2D2, & watch a Star Wars movie on a giant outdoor screen!

WHAT: Photos with your favorite Star Wars characters & a Star Wars movie under the stars! (Bring blankets and lawn chairs.)

WHY: To raise awareness about Canavan Disease and help Olivia get the treatment that she needs.

THE SAN DIEGO STAR WARS SOCIETY INVITES YOU TO JOIN THEM FOR AN EVENING OF STAR WARS UNDER THE STARS

The San Diego Star Wars Society--led by Chewbacca , Darth Vader, and R2D2--is coming to the 4S Ranch Sports Park (next to baseball fields) on Saturday, October 17th.  Bring out the kids to meet and greet not just Chewie, Lord Vader and R2D2, but also Princess Leia, Imperial Stormtroopers, Bounty Hunters, and Jedi Knights.  There will be a $5 minimum donation required per person (regardless of age) upon entry.  For your donation, a professional photographer will take a photo of you and your kids with your favorite Star Wars characters, and then you can relax on the lawn and watch a Star Wars movie on a giant outdoor movie screen in the park!  All proceeds will benefit one of your neighbors here in the community, the Ferrandi family, whose 1 year old daughter Olivia is battling Canavan disease—a pernicious neurological degenerative disease of infancy, for which there is currently no cure.

The photo ops with the stars of Star Wars will begin at 4 p.m.  Then at nightfall, the Star Wars movie will begin, on a giant outdoor movie screen.  So dress accordingly, and bring your lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy watching Star Wars under the stars!  Also, don’t forget to bring some extra cash too, as we will be raffling off over a thousand dollars of amazing prizes!  Snacks will be available at the snack shack run by the 4S Ranch Little League.

The San Diego Star Wars Society is a volunteer group of Star Wars enthusiasts, who have their own screen-accurate replica costumes of the iconic characters from the Star Wars films. Please join us in support of Olivia, and may the Force be with you!
